Two Jesi ‘bronze’ chemistry students in Taiwan – Marche

The Galilei Higher Education Institute of Jesi represented Italy at the world final of the Taiwan International Science Fair which was held in Taipei. The group, made up of students Linda Paolinelli and Leonardo Cerioni, won third place in the world in the “Chemistry” category. This was announced today, “with great satisfaction and pride”, by the head teacher, Luigi Frati. The Marche school is not new to international recognition in the scientific field. Last December, at the ExpoCiencias Nacional in Mexico, students Caterina Amichetti, Matteo Santoni and Filippo Pieretti won two world gold medals for scientific research projects on environmental sustainability. In 2022, among other things, the IIS Galilei was chosen among the schools of excellence to take part in the Expo Science Asia in Dubai, won the fourth prize in the chemistry section at the “Regeron Isef Atlanta” in the USA, and is was the protagonist of a scientific research project on microplastics in the Indian Ocean presented at the University of Saint-Denis, on the island of Rèunion.
